MATH Clubs & Contest Update
Due to liability concerns of the volunteer parent group associated with the below clubs that are solely run by parent volunteers, we do not feel comfortable and have decided not to offer the following at GATE for 2024/2025 school year:
-
Elementary MOEMS (Math Olympiad) Club and Contest
-
Middle school MOEMS (Math Olympiad) Contest
-
MATHCOUNTS Club
What we can offer
AMC 8 COMPETITION

Competition WILL be offered this year as we have a staff member scheduled to proctor this contest.
-
Tentative date for AMC 8 contest is Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025

Registration forms will be published in GATE Gazette in November with a registration fee of $10.
-
This is a middle school contest but it is open for ambitious elementary students that have a solid grasp of middle school math concepts and ideally previous experience with competitive math problem solving. It is highly advised for a student with no previous AMC 8 experience to attempt to solve a recent AMC8 contest before registering.
IMPORTANT: Registered Students will be eligible to take the contest at school. They will need to individually prepare for the contest. No coaching provided. Previous contest problems and solutions can be found at https://artofproblemsolving.com/wiki/index.php/AMC_8_Problems_and_Solutions
